San Diego firefighters win lawsuit over gay-pride parade

Some good news (and common sense) out of California this week.  A jury ruled that a group of firefighters rights were violated when they were forced to participate in a 2007 San Diego gay pride parade.

The firefighters were ordered to participate over their objections, and drive a city fire truck in the parade - being subjected to explicit advances and obscenities along the way.  A jury saw things their way, deciding that their rights had been violated.

A jury of eight women and four men deliberated for 2½ days and found that the firefighters, who were ordered to ride a fire engine in San Diego's 2007 homosexual parade, were sexually harassed by homosexual participants and spectators. ...

Charles LiMandri, attorney and West Coast director of the Thomas More Law Center representing the firefighters, believes the city should have known from past experience, "the kind of offensive activities that go on at this event," which in this case involved obscene catcalls, genital exposure, and simulated sex acts between homosexuals.

"These men were sexually harassed in clear violation of San Diego's sexual harassment code," LiMandri said. "Further, the California Constitution's freedom of speech provision prohibits compelled speech. What the firefighters were ordered to do was endorse what goes on at this parade through their participation in it." ...

"Government employees should never be forced to participate in events or acts that violate their sincerely held beliefs," LiMandri explained. "We are pleased with the jury's verdict recognizing the firefighters' right to abstain from activities that they consider morally offensive and that subject them to harassment."

Clearly we're living in an age where radical liberals seek to use any means at their disposal to legitimize their agenda, including compelling government employees to at least act as though they sanction it.  We need more poeple willing to stand up (and be singled out if necessary) for what they believe is right.

Chalk one up for the good guys.

Finally, something good for

Finally, something good for the normal, straight American! Praise be to God! We need to stay informed, because I promise you, the Evil One is! God bless you and America!

There isn't an easy way to

There isn't an easy way to say this, but the Word of God is Eternal and is the judge of man in this world and in the next. This lascivious behavior forced upon our Firemen is not without consequence, as it will be severely dealt with by the wrath of God, according to His word, as hell awaits. Be encouraged Firemen! I want to also encourage every human being to read the book, “DRIVEN BY ETERNITY” by John Bevere, a wakeup call for all who profess their allegiance to the Lord and think their headed toward heaven...you will be SHOCKED! So, DON'T BE CAUGHT OFF GUARD!

Here’s a small excerpt: “So many, both believers and none believers, are ignorantly allowing the appointed judgment to hasten toward them without cause for investigation. They’ve taken a false hope in concepts that are not found in the Bible. Some think God will take into account all the good they’ve done and if it outweighs the bad, they will find favor. Others who profess a new birth experience have thought that they will not stand before Jesus as Judge because He is their Savior. They believe they are exempt from any form of judgment. They will be most surprised. Then there are some who think everything will just pan out. They are trusting in an unscriptural mercy.

None of these concepts are what the New Testament reveals and teaches. These notions and many others that people have devised in their own imaginations are temporal, not eternal, and will not stand in that day. There will be stunned men and women, and I personally think there will be more professing Christians then unbelievers who are shocked on Judgment Day.”

This book will have you quaking in your boots, if you haven’t understood the Word as being eternal. If one breaks the law of man a jury of your pears will judge you; however, if you break the laws of God, your sentence is already final and waiting and there will be no negotiating, as the law of God is holy and eternal. This book will take out the slack of sloppy living and prepare you for what is coming, ‘The Judgment of The Word!’ John 12:48-49. God’s law is eternal and unchanging and we’re expected to live by it in this world and in the next, as its judgments are righteous and swift!
