While taking the survey on
While taking the survey on Americas use of fosil fuels or should we embark on renewable energy sources? I am continually struck by the willingness by most to assume that it is the Governments responsibility to be the innovators of such ideas. All innovation, invention and development has come from we the people, not from the Government. It is the people that make the engine of progress work. The Government is the arbiter of rules and regulations that can stop progress. We are seeing this played out right now in the gulf oil crises, the reason to halt all drilling in the region. Well folks what about all the workers on those other rigs that are now out of work? What about the fact that it makes us that much more dependent upon forien oil. What about the fact that God Himself has provided all the oil in the world? Did God provide oil so we could use it?
I am all for being a good steward of the earth, I believe that we are making good strides with the use of existing energy sources as well as developing new or renewable sources. I and my husband are involved in renewable energy development. We can tell you that you can want all the changes that you want, not all are viable, not all will be able to do what you want. We can not just transform from one thing to another overnight. It will take decades and trillions for wind or solar to do any good, except right at the end user.
This does nothing for your motor vehicles. Sure we should make them as fuel efficient as we can. Innovators are working on that. Taking oil out of the equasion altogether means you better be willing to use public transport, such as cable cars. Do thy exist in your town? Get a bike, city folks. Go back to the horse and buggy for the country folks.
How will we grow all that food for the world, with solar, wind or nuke? I live in a high agreculteral area, we must use fuel. I can see no way to go backwards on that without starving even our own country. How about getting that food to your convient grocery store. No oil, no trucks, no shipping of food to the cities. OK, we can try to use rail but most have been dismantled to the small cities and towns. People would have to come to the rail ways to pickup their own groceries.
I know that I am pointing out the extreme, but folks please think about what you are asking for, before you ask for it. Do you realize that your very existence, breathing, is a greenhouse gas? How do we stop that? We are here to worship the Creator, not to worship the creation. We are to be good stewards yes, but we must use our brains and the provisions that God has seen fit to give us as well. No oil, no future. We should develop every viable option as we are able, none of it will be done by the government.
I believe God can be in control of human innovation when we let Him... He is not in charge of the worshipers of the creation, the god of this world is, he has them deceived that they are honoring God. Creation worship can not and does not honor the true God, as He desires that worship Himself. As a Christian this is first and foremost to be pointed out, I can not go along with the worshipers of the creation. I worship God in Christ Jesus and there is no other way to please God but to have faith in His plan of the hope of salvation, in Jesus.
It is my hope and prayer
It is my hope and prayer that CCA will endorse the election of third party candidates when that candidate is clearly more Constitutionally oriented and Free Enterprise oriented and pro-life oriented than a mainstream party candidate.
For the last 100 + years, with rare exception, we have voted for the lesser of two evils. The result is that with each administration, we have inched closer and closer to Socialism, and now, we're in it. Evil triumphs when good people do nothing. Essentally, that is what Roberta eluded to in her latest newsletter. The well-worn defintion of insanity is "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results". We have been electing Democrats and Republicans now for over 100 years (doing the same thing over and over again). And the results? I think that most of us were expecting to get more and more freedom with less and less cost (taxes). The results haven't changed!! We are getting less and less freedom with more and more cost (taxes) as well as more regulations instead of less.
The insanity cannot continue, brothers and sisters. The whole of our Country is comprised of thousands upon thousands of precincts. The hierarchy of all our political subdivisions is built from the precinct. Every political subdivision must have its elected officials be of sound Constitutional integrety as well as ethical integrety.
I was a loyal Republican for about 30 years including being precinct delegate for 10 years. Too many Republicans have fallen by the wayside endorsing Socialistic policies, refusing to protect our borders from illegal immigrants and refusing to protect our unborn to mention a few. I decided about a year ago that I would no longer support a RINO when there was someone better running for the same office. I have joined the Constitution Party of Illinois and participate in state level leadership. Every candidate we have is better qualified from a Constitutional governing and free enterprise, less regulation perspective than candidates from either of the parties in the "two-party" system.
If we are truly a Constitutionalist thinking group, then we must stick together and defeat a failed two-party system espcially when the choice is a liberal or a RINO. I think that you will find that most conservative "third-party" organizations will not challenge a true conservative Republican. Constitutionalist thinking is in vogue right now. Let's take advantage of it. If you recall, Abraham Lincoln was a third-party candidate when he was elected the first Republican president in the mid 1800's. The GOP has been in existence now for over 150 years. They came along at a time when the only difference between the Democrats and the Whigs was their name.

It is so good to have a
It is so good to have a group of christians to share anything regarding self or country. As a new member, thank you.
It is more important now
It is more important now than ever for Christians to standup and unite. We can no longer remain silent and let the government and a group of non-believers keep God out of our schools, courts and government. We must all stay in contact with our government officials and let our wishes be made known. It will take a concentrated effort on the part of all Christians to do this. There is tremendous strength in numbers and the politicians do not want to lose their cushy positions.
Bob T, I agree. As a well
Bob T,
I agree. As a well written man, (Mark Lavin), has put it. "If the vast majority of this Country does not want Liberty, we will not have Liberty." If we Christians want the Liberty to have Gods' laws in our court rooms and back in our class rooms, we have to be involved and work together. We have the opportunity with information and petitions and pending Bills, so we must share them with everyone we can. We must all be responsible citizens and let our elected officials know what we the people want on all of the issues we are facing.
First we Christians must set an example and humble ourselves to God, (judgement begins at the household of God)! Are we in a Laodice'a condition as the church (Revelation 3:14)? I believe so, for it is the only explanation for the condition to which we have allowed our society to decay. We need to pray for His forgiveness for our failure to keep His Word in all things, and for the great sins of this Nation, and for the people who are without His guidance, to seek it. We must always speak the truth boldly every chance we have, as the truth sets people free. God promises He will heal our land, if we will turn from our evil ways and will turn to Him. Nothing else will work. There is no other name under heaven by which man can be saved. Jesus is the way, the Truth, the Life and the Light of men. If we the Christians do not speak this who will?
God is an absolute God. He changes not. His Word is faithful and true. We must believe it and act upon it for it to work toward us. His Word will not come back void. We as a body must Live in His Word, so we can be salt and light in this world, for His namesake. As we do this, He will hear us and He will heal our land.
