Taxing A Recession, New Taxes in Budget, New Taxes in Healthcare, Record Debt and Government Spending.

You can not spend your way out of a recession has been said enough times that now Obama may just consider it a "talking point." Reducing the cost of health care for seniors has also become an old talking point of the 2008 elections. Now taxing a recession is becoming a talking point.

The realities that increasing costs for businesses to hire employees will make them not hire employees has escape those who have faith in their President; They need to place their faith in God not Obama.  read more »

Obama Advocates Domestic Violence

Speaking to the perceived inequalities between the sexes in regards to domestic labor, President Obama said in an NBC interview that he thought men "need to be knocked across the head every once in a while."

Many would brush the comments aside as the Chief Executive's attempt at humor.  However, as the nation has learned as of result of Rush Limbaugh's failure to acquire a stake in the ownership of the Rams, some thought are so vile that they cannot be enunciated according to the NFL officials that denied the famed broadcaster this economic opportunity.

What if Obama had said every once in a while women need to be knocked across the head to be reminded of just how good they have it in this county?  Given that Michelle had never felt pride in America until this past election cycle, it seems this is a lesson he has failed to get across to his little woman.

Radical feminists will respond that domestic violence against women is something its victims are so ashamed of that it can never be mentioned in a jocular manner.

Than isn’t it even more so when the victims are men?  For the last time I checked, there were not entire cable networks and television programming blocks dedicated to stories of the struggles of battered men or entire charities established supposedly to address the needs of battered men which quietly toss their daughters into the streets for having reached an arbitrary age still well below the age of majority and irrespective of whether or not these youngsters are capable of providing for themselves.

Ironically AARP Forum RE Massa: We know about the bribes.

Many of the basic facts are across the internet. I think a fair statement would be "You can not fire me! I quit."

AARP Forum

We know about the bribes. How about the blackmail & smear campaigns that have covnveniently happened to politicians that would oppose Obama administration? NY govenor was smeared right after he refused to not run. A few dems had initial smear stories on MSNBC that were not followed up after the targeted legislators voted with party the next week. And in case you missed it Maddow started on Fri. smear of Stupak. Will Stupak stay the course & vote his convictions and get smeared or will he bow to blackmail & story will disappear?

The interview on Glenn Beck was not from a man with a lot of fight left in him. No sign of the nobel reasons to be in public office. While he wants to retain his standards - which he said he did not while in office - he does not represent that others have those standards; no demands from him that they should.  read more »

CBS Glorifies Obama for Christian Compassion!

Hat Tip NewsBusters

Near the end of Monday's CBS Early Show, co-host Erica Hill touted a new Parade magazine survey on volunteerism in America: "it indicates America is in the midst of what some are calling a compassion boom." Moments later, the magazine's contributing editor, Emily Listfield, argued: "There's something we call the 'Obama Effect.' People are responding to the President's call to service."

The contrast with the truth I believe is all that need be said.

Forgive Barbara Boxer but vote her out of office

Cross posted on At The Water Cooler

Forgiving does not mean to hold up somebody who has shown poor judgment and offer excuses for their poor judgment to positions were they will use their judgment. It is possible for people to learn from their mistakes and learn - It is also possible for people not to learn and continue to make them.

It is possible for pro-choice advocates to change; And, that is a great thing; But, Barbara Boxer has not changed. Boxer voted to block Stupak amendment, and against other amendments from representatives of the people, that stop tax payer funding of abortion. If life were on a scale (it is not) between two evils - her position would be to the extreme on the right to kill side. Forgiving does not mean allowing somebody to continue to kill.

The Congress are voted on by the people to represent the people - Boxer does not even know who the people are!  read more »

Hooray For Hollywood!

The Academy Awards aired tonight, lasting for 3 1/2 hours. Having been turned off by those Hollywood presentations in the past, there was no desire to ever see another one. Those shows had become worse and worse with vulgar language, sexual innuendos, anti-God, anti-American sentiments and was becoming more of a platform for political propaganda than to acknowledge good films and actors. Then.....

Then the recent Screen Actor's Guild Awards Show came on which was a staging disaster. It was not coordinated, was choppy, actors didn't know when to enter or exit or where to go. When they did get in place, they had no stage presence, stumbled over words, and were so awkward that it was embarrassing. To add to the mix, Betty White made crude sexual innuendos about some men among the attendees. Not becoming to her.

Performers in the audience exhibited hostility to winners which was caught on camera during quick audience shots. It was the worst program ever to fill a TV screen. Plus, they called all performers, 'actors,' instead of calling males, actors and females, actressess which took more time since they had to explain that this one coming is a male actor and this one is a female actor. It was so annoying that this writer vowed to never watch an award show again.  read more »

Christians and Politics What does God expect ?

The Doctrine of the Catholic Kennedy? Worthless

In 1960, JFK theorized the most rigid separation between Church
and state, in order to be acceptable as president. Half a century
later, Archbishop Chaput is accusing him of causing serious damage.

ROME, March 2, 2010 – Precisely fifty years after the memorable
speech, preserved in the anthologies, that John F. Kennedy gave to the
Protestant pastors of Houston in order to convince them and the entire
nation that as a Catholic he could be a good president (see photo), the
archbishop of Denver, Charles J. Chaput, has returned to the scene of
the crime, in Houston, for a Baptist conference on the role of
Christians in public life.
The "crime" was precisely the one committed by Kennedy with that
speech, Chaput maintained in his talk, given yesterday evening at
Houston Baptist University and reproduced in its entirety further below.
"Today, half a century later, we’re paying for the damage," said
Chaput, who of all the bishops of the United States is the one most
active in the area of relations between the Church and political
leadership. He has also written a book on this topic, "Render Unto
Caesar," the central thesis of which is that Caesar must be given his
due, but that a Christian serves his nation by living his faith in
political life in complete consistency and visibility, without hiding
or diluting it.  read more »

Church Newscast Catching On

The debut of the Mountain View Christian Center television newscast out of Oakley, California last week (that can be seen below) was a success. Viewers have shown that they like news that has a twinkle in the tone. How one views the news can make a difference in the sanity level during the day.

The AGN-TCL Streaming News Network offers bite-size news tidbits in 10 minute segments. Viewers love it since they are short, sweet and meaningful (now we are referring to the newscasts, not the viewers--then again, maybe they are--ahh forget it!.)  Anyway, in this day and age, where everybody is running here and there, briefer and quickly-to-the-point is better. The unique newscast can be seen on both YouTube and Tangle.

The video cameraman is noted photographer Tim Vaughn who has his own studio. His son, Tim Vaughn, Jr. is the video editor. The first team to be seen is Angelia Baxter paired with this writer, which is an excellent combination with perfect interaction. The newscast will feature various newsteams to watch for. The segments are filmed in the Mountain View Christian Center Media Studio.

The second newscast which can be seen below shows that the format works and gives viewers relevant stories and ideas that encourage everyone to get a sense of humor, and enjoy living life, even in a chaotic world. Click the link below to see it.
